What is Broadcast Printing?
Broadcast
printing is an advanced order feature that can be enabled at FedEx Kinko's DocStore order sites that have an online catalog. Your DocStore administrator must set up your personal
account with permission to use this feature.
With FedEx
Kinko's broadcast printing, you can
- Create a DocStore order, have it produced at multiple FedEx
Kinko's locations, and deliver it to multiple recipients at different
locations.
- Include up to ten
different documents from your catalog in the order.
- Send different quantities
of each document in the order to your recipients.
- Use different delivery
methods for individual recipients or groups of recipients.
- Create distributions lists
for convenient ordering.
- Add recipients to your
order from your address book or from a distribution list.
- Pay for the order online.
The only delivery options available with Broadcast
Printing are FedEx, FedEx Kinko's Local Delivery, and Pick-up at FedEx
Kinko’s.
Broadcast
printing orders have specially designed shopping cart pages and order
workflow to make ordering as easy as possible. You will notice that your
pages and options are different than the standard catalog order pages seen
by other users at your site.
Before Creating Your First Broadcast Printing Order
Before you
create your first broadcast printing order, you will want to add contacts
and create distribution lists in your personal address book or global
address book to save time when creating your order.
See Address
Books and Managing
Distribution Lists for details on how to use these features.
Beginning a Broadcast Printing Order
To begin a
broadcast printing order:
- Log on to your FedEx
Kinko's DocStore account.
- Choose Select Documents From
Your Online Catalog from the Start Your Order page.
The site’s main page indicates the mode in which your site is running: If the site is in Safe Mode, orders are not sent to the producing location. If the site is in Test Mode, orders are sent to the producing location, but marked “Test” on the Job Ticket and Transaction Reports.
